Depending on the type of interview, the questions will vary, thus you will need to give different answers. The questions you will be asked will vary, but furthermore, the questions you should ask will also vary. The majority of employers like a prospective employee who is open to asking questions, and is very interactive. You should not be afraid to ask any questions you have (except for questions that have very obvious answers).

Below are some job interview questions you may be asked, and then how you should answer.

Q: What would a typical work day/week be like for you?

A: You need to be very detailed when answering this. Be sure to point out some of your daily tasks and responsibilities. Furthermore, be sure everything you say ties in somehow with the job you are being interviewed for. The more of a connection you depict between your old job and this job, the better your chances are at being hired. Employers also like it when a prospective employee shows how they will use their skills from past jobs in their new job if they are hired.

Q: What makes you work hard?

A: Obviously, the interviewer does not know you very well, and they want to see why exactly you were successful with your last job. Sure, the answer you are going to give depends on your previous job(s). Some of the answers you can give include that you enjoy being challenged, you want to please your boss, you want to please the customers, and becoming more professional in the specific field.

The questions asked at job interviews are generally along the same lines, unless you are being interviewed for a very high profile/level job. There are many famous books that can help you prepare for your job interview, all showing the most common asked questions, and exactly how to answer them. Being prepared to answer job interview questions is very important, and not doing so can lead to not being hired.
